Honestly, I love that album. I know Anthrax gets a lot of hate, but Persistence of Time is a very, very good heavy thrash album.

Three Mile Pilot - Maps

the best part of this is that it's an EP and therefore short.....not sure if the appeal of this band has just left me or if this album just sucks....but i did not like it one bit

McLusky - McLusky Do Dallas

i was looking at the top RYM albums for Noise Rock and this was the only one i had not heard....and was rated pretty high...and for good reason this shit rocks....fun and yet with that aggressive nihilism that...in my opinion....all noise rock should have....great bass lines and the singer has quite the potty mouth....loving this album right now

The Menzingers - On The Impossible Past

i am honestly torn on this.....this would be on my list for the year if....the fucking singer would shut the fuck up....i'm sorry this really came highly recommended from several users here....and musically this is very good but that guys voice makes me what to commit suicide....just awful and i could not get past it

Polvo - Today's Active Lifestyles

now this one i like....fits perfectly in that great era of 90s post hardcore noisy math type stuff....nothing really groundbreaking but very well executed

Deadbolt - Voodoo Trucker

there is a song called 'Truck Drivin SOB' which follows a trucker named Bob....obviously i had to get this.....pretty fun surf rock mixed with truckin lore

I love that album! And "Lightsabre Cocksucking Blues" is one of the best song titles ever.

I freaking love that album. It's just so good. Mike's flow is vicious, and El-P's production sounds like a bouncy robot. Excellent.

Nosound - A Sense of Loss: Meh. Sort of post-rock/prog album. Not very noteworthy.

Nico Muhly - I Drink the Air Before Me: Decent dissonant modern-classical. Kind of patchy, but still worth holding on to.

Dinosaur Jr. - Farm: Their alternative rock phase does nothing for me. I still think You're Living All Over Me was great though.

The Rapture - Echoes: Holy ****, the lead singer of this band has one of the most annoying voices I've ever heard. Would not listen again. Regrettable.

Two Lone Swordsmen - From the Double Gone Chapel: Badass light-absorbing dance-punk album.

Blanck Mass - ST: An ambient side project of 1/2 of **** Buttons. Beautiful album. Very interested in this guy's future.

Element of Crime - Weiss Papier: Forgettable German indie rock.

Mewithoutyou - [A-->B] Life: Forgettable post-hardcore.

Neu! - Neu! '75: Yet another classic krautrock album I can't seem to fully appreciate.

Ty Segall Band - Slaughterhouse: 2012 garage noise rock album. Very good. Maybe top 10-15 material this year.

The first time I listened to The Rapture I hated them too, but eventually Echoes became one of my favorite albums of that time period. Not saying that will happen to you, but that album is definitely worth a few more spins. They're very good live too.
