As stated above im really loving this album. The title track starts off with a nice jazzy verse into a smooth reggar vibe. It has shades of old school Rebelution, with the long hyped up istrumental sections in "Invasion" and the melancholic beautiful ballad "Fade Away". Its a really nice listen all the way through, and the geust appearances of Don Carlos and Collie Buddz are on point. This album is a love letter to all of their fans that have been following them through out the years. Top grade material

Surprised I didn't do this earlier, considering how much I loved The Seer.

So far it seems much more "earthly," than The Seer, if that makes sense.

yes...that is the cover of the album "To Be Kind" by the band Swans

edit

i think i understand what you mean by "earthly".....i've listened to this album at least once a day since i received my copy and unlike the Seer it didn't have to grow on me...it really is one of their better outputs....best?...eh not by a mile....but with this album there is almost a sense of a light at the end of the tunnel (probably a train)

perhaps falling in love and getting married is causing some strange optimism in Gira......at least he still sleeps in a bottle

What's your favourite? Mine goes Filth>Children of God>To Be Kind, depending on my mood of course.

Soundtracks for the Blind then The Great Annihilator then The Seer

i still love the pre-Children of God stuff.....but when i listen to it it literally raises my blood pressure (same goes with the first Crass album)....so got to watch that shit....and salt...lower the salt in my diet

funny enough i just had a meeting with my boss and he asked me to make him a mix of "eclectic" music.....after some mental debate i decided to include 'Time is Money (Bastard)' to see if he catches the reference

The Seer > White Light > The Great Annihilator > Failure > Children of God > Soundtracks > Cop/Greed/All that fun stuff > Filth

TBK is either in between the Seer and White Light or their best.

I guess I'm a bigger fan of being bludgeoned in an alley than you guys when it comes to Filth. I guess I should listen to White Light now, I'ven't heard that one yet.
