The Mothers of Invention - We're Only in it for the Money (1968)

This showed up in a search while I was looking for something else and I hadn't heard it for a couple of years so I thought I'd give it a listen.

JME - History

Revisited these. They are good albums. Lots of classics on them.

Various Artists - Chess Club Rhythm & Soul (1996)

Above average compilation of 25 Chess tracks from the 1960's, except for Little Walter's 1955 song "My Babe." Mostly soul, with some blues mixed in, and a forerunner to rap "Here Comes The Judge" by Pigmeat Markham.

Swans - The Glowing Man

It leaked. It's amazing. The title track alone may now be my favorite 28 minutes of life. I can't wait to get my physical copy.

Various Artists - Blue Funk (1992)

Nice compilation of mostly instrumental laid-back 60's & 70's soul/jazz/funk tunes from Blue Note Records.

I downloaded a bunch of mixtapes last night.

I have varying degrees of interest to each one that I got.

Hopefully the lot of them don't disappoint too much.

Curren$y - The Legend of Harvard Blue
Die Antwoord - Suck On This
Kidd Kidd - Rapper's Worst Nightmare 2
MMG - Priorities 4
Smoke DZA - George Kush Da Button
Red Cafe - Dope God
Casey Veggies - Customized Greatly 4
Shawty Lo - Built Not Bought
Chris Brown - Before the Party
Post Malone - August 26th
