Don't forget to give thanks to your local stoner sludge bands.

Nas & Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley - Distant Relatives (2010)

Younger brother told me to listen to this, so I found it on Spotify and am listening to it. And it's amazing.

Jude Cole - I Don't Know Why I Act This Way (1995)

Surprisingly sophisticated take on the heartland rock genre. Hell, just the song 'Joe' might be one of the best things I've ever heard. Those lyrics and that trumpet...man....

Bee Gees - High Civilization (1991)

Surreal to hear these guys do a hi-tech 80's sounding rock record with New Jack Swing influences, complete with World Music synths...but in a weird way it actually works more often than not.
