Damn, I was looking forward to that one. I'll still give it a listen of course, but I was hoping Patton would really add something interesting to the album.

Protomartyr - The Agent Intellect

Aside from a few tracks on their record before this one, I was not a fan of Protomartyr, and to an extent when this record came out I stopped trying to fancy myself a Protomartyr fan. But I was mistaken. This fucking album is why post-punk has thrived this decade. I can't wait for their new disk later this year.

Tyler, The Creator - Scum **** Flower Boy

It was a really good album. Probably his most solid project for me since Goblin. Goblin is a dark and eerie horrorcore master piece to me. And this album is a melancholy and more matured and calmed project with a much jazzier sound. I don't know jazz genres, but there is an obvious sound or genre he was going for with the sound. One of the few rap albums this year that hasn't disappointed me.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

Got another bunch of CD's:

Not sure when I'm going to end this streak of buying and listening to all these albums by female solo artists. It's becoming my specific niche to geek out with, it seems. It's especially leaning towards singer-songwriters of some description, but there's a lot of breadth there if you take the definition loosely enough.
I'm even still waiting to receive more albums with Laura Nyro, Rickie Lee Jones, Carly Simon, Cristina Branco, Heather Nova and Joan Baez. You might say I'm out of control.

It goes well with my beard and Megadeth t-shirts.

So, a reviewer on RYM described this as sounding "like a MIDI pigeon being dragged through the ditch behind a garbage truck", and I think that's all you really need to know to want to check it out.

Mars - Glockcoma

Horrorcore over G-funk beats.

Mars gets a lot of ****, but his last project, Zodiac, was pretty good. This project really really sucked.

Mr. Mutha****in eXquire - Brainiac

Been waiting a while for his debut album after signing. This EP will hold me off. It's really ****ing great. Seems slightly more mature than his usual music, but he still has the jokes and the references to old cartoons and video games that we all love. Same kind of beats he always raps to, but the music is much more polished on this project.

Yeah, I have one album by him and it's awful.
