I wasn't really referring to quality per se, but that they are both acts that have seemed to become the highest (only) "critically acclaimed" artist of their genre amongst the music reviewer crowd. Somehow simultaneously being a toe-dipping-for-the-masses artist while being proclaimed the very best of their ilk at the same time.

Today was the first snow of the year. As is tradition, it's time to listen to For Emma, Forever ago, as I have done every year since it came out. Might follow it with Carrie and Lowell, which is another clean-white-snow-y album.

Yeah. Man. Such a wonderful album for curling up on the couch in a blanket with a hot beverage while it dumps loads of white bull**** outside.
