Heavy Cruiser - Lucky Dog (1973)

This is described as "heavy prog rock" by the YouTube uploader but it sounds more like early 70's hard rock, similar to Foghat. Not a bad album for that particular style of rock.

Went to FYE picked albums I needed. I still value CDs and if I had more money I'd have a much larger collection.

I want to start collecting vinyl eventually.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

Mops - Iijanaika (1971)

Heavy, blues based psych-rock from Japan. Starts out strong but loses momentum as it goes. 6/10

I didn't know 808s came in a jewel case. Mine is a card wallet like MBDTF. It's really well packaged tbf, with posters and good quality, not some flimsy thing.

Re: vinyl, I felt like that, then I decided it's too expensive and takes up too much space so I'll finish my Bowie collection and call it a day.

I ordered these two for cheap on Amazon:

Medina - Forever

Danish dance pop. I'd rather have the Danish language version but this is all I could find.
Danish internet media stores tend to be a lot more expensive that Amazon, so that's why I'm ordering a Danish album from the UK.

I also like the cover artwork for the Danish version WAY more:

No idea if the album is good. I just know that I like her debut album (Velkommen til Medina/Welcome to Medina).
(Btw, the album artwork for the Danish version of that album also easily beats that of the English language version):

vs

Ani DiFranco - Up Up Up Up Up Up

American singer/songwriter with some impressive acoustic guitar chops.
I'm slowly working my way through her discography and have yet to be disappointed.

David Thomas & The Wooden Birds ‎– Blame the Messenger (1987)

The best album David Thomas has released outside of Pere Ubu.

It's fantastic but it'd be really difficult for me to pick a favourite among his solo projects.
More Places Forever and Monster Walks The Winter Lake would certainly also be among his very best.
