Listening to this soundtrack brings back some good memories. Funny how those memories aren't playing with friends or spending time with family, but good memories of sitting in front of my computer trying to figure out how to print fake betting stubs in the Rubacava section of the game.

Wipeout 2097/Wipeout XL OST (1996)

Like Senior Nerfect I have been on a game soundtrack nostalgia quest...
This is not only a soundtrack but the best snapshot of trance/techno/d'nb Britain you could possibly ask for - Future Sounds of London, Underworld, Orbital, Leftfield, Photek... and a few stompers that were left off the game by the likes of Daft Punk. Oh yeah and the Firestarter instrumental, which only serves to remind you how on the ball Liam Howlett was back in the day.
PM requests if you like.
I thought this was a rare find but then remembered you just had to put the game in a CD player and you'd get the music with these old ones... oh well

aren't all the old LucasArts games really difficult to work on modern computers? Or something? I was looking into buying Sam and Max off amazon and apparently there are problems

also got the first album 'Hold On It Hurts'

I have been looking for this for sooo long, by sheer chance I checked again and it was uploaded only yesterday - both albums have long been out-of-print and this one in particular is legendary.
By ramshackle 90's indie criteria, this is better than 'When I Was Born From the 7th Time', and while there are a couple of classic Eastern jams most of it sounds like the British-Indian Pavement. edit: infact it even sounds like the Brian Jonestown Massacre in their raga moments
If I had known you were looking for it I would have upped it ages ago, I dug it out & uploaded it onto my HD just a few months ago.

Where did you find Hold On It Hurts ? I could never get hold of that.

I've always had this fantasy where I play Crispian Mills "6am Jullandar Shere" and then repeatedly smack a brick over his head shouting 'THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT YOU FUCKING MORON'
