Downloaded this despite already having the debut:

Not sure what the deal was, the second album, Weed Forestin', was very disappointing. There's a few good songs, but for the most part I found this to be a lot of lo-fi crap.

This is much better. Lou redeemed himself.

Wasn't really sure for a while, but I actually really liked this. It's got a lot of songs that are mostly talking but it's funny.

Absolutely seminal Hip Hop album that I haven't heard for a few years. What is wrong with me? I chastise myself for neglecting this classic.
Hey JH I would like to tell you a little more about the front man for this here album

He has a new band, its a blend of hip/hop and reggae. They are amazing too. I've seen them live they put on one hell of a show.

Michael Franti & Spearhead.

If you interested I get you some stuff. I have two albums of theirs. Let me know.

I agree, Spearhead were definitely among the most fun bands I've ever seen live.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Kinda went on a rampage buying bargain cd's online this last payday. Some of the notable ones I picked up:

Honestly, some terrible covers by a decent hardcore band. For the most part all they do is play the same songs as the original with added distortion and screams. That doesn't stop it from being pretty fun though, when you look at some of the songs on the list especially.

Saw someone else link this cd, maybe in this thread, and gave it a shot based on what they said. Seems like something I'd really love...not quite for some reason, but I'm giving it extra listens to give it a chance to grow on me.

One of the best musicals ever. Every song is great, and I sing along with most of them when I'm by myself...I don't care who knows this.

Edit: Also got - BLACK TIDE - LIGHT FROM ABOVE

These guys got pretty heavy play on the metal stations on satellite radio awhile ago, and I saw this cd for 1 penny...couldn't pass it up. Sorta sound like early Metallica. Also, they're all between 16 and 19 I remember reading, but this actually sounds like a band that's been around for quite awhile. I like it.

I haven't heard that one, but their debut Becoming X was pretty huge when it came out, of the first I owned in the genre.
