I've only heard two or three of their songs, but whenever I do it always stands out. Especially the vocals.

Think I'm gonna stop being lazy and check out some of their stuff like right now.

DJ Shadow - The Private Press

^ Picked that up recently.

His Endtroducing cd is easily one of my all time favorites, and I didn't think this could be nearly as good. Its pretty close though really...grew on me fast. Good stuff on here.

Yeah, my brother is a fan and I agree the newer stuff seems kind of lame. Spearhead kicked ass when I saw them back in the late 90s though, that's for sure.

Really? M83 sounds like Mew? I haven't heard any M83 though I've been aware of them forever. Maybe I should check 'em out? Also it's odd that And the Glass Handed Kites would be less memorable than No More Stories. But I know how it goes...we're often more attached to the material we hear first.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Maybe I should check them out then. Anything you can recommend?

You should check M83 out even though I would say they don't sound much like Mew, M83 is more of an electronic post-rock/shoegaze sound, not really poppy like Mew.
