Blakroc - Blakroc

To be honest I was more into this for The Black Keys as most of the guest artists featured on it I could really give a toss about. After listening to it I still feel that way about them, however there was the odd song that was catchy. If they decide to do a follow up to this I really hope The Black Keys take more of a frontal approach, they were OK in the background, but they really didn't do anything ground breaking.

Free the Robots - The Prototype

Couldn't think of a more fitting name for this album. It certainly isn't as catch and awesome as the Free the Robots EP but I I'm always down for instrumental beats for when I'm reading or writing.

Blue Scholars - OOF! EP

Crappy album art, but they are one of my favourite west coast hip hop duos so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Good call. That's the only album of his that I normally listen to all the way through without skipping any tracks.

Remember when the term 'Stoner Rock' meant more than a bunch of generic riffs that sounded great when you were stoned but average when sober? Well get some Hammond organ in there, Saxophones and emphasis on atmosphere and this will blow your arse off. Most stoner rock keeps me entertained for about 10 minutes. This is another matter entirely. Awesome.
You like that you should check out Comets on Fire.

If I like Comets on Fire's most recent album but not so much the older stuff, should I check that out?

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Blue Cathedral would be my second choice out of their albums, but I didn't really enjoy it much. So I'll pass. It's all good, I have plenty on my "to check out" list already.

The new Fall tour single/EP thing.

2 great new songs both of which have a kind of 70s glam rock drum beat & 50s style rock n roll riffs. I love it when they do stuff like that.
And a live version of Strange Town which does what it says on the tin.

Can't wait for the new album in January if this is a sign of things to come
