The new My Morning Jacket live album Okonokos and the band is really on fire, tight musicianship. The less said about Jim James' live vocals the better, but musically, at least they surpass the recorded version.

The Live Version of Grace, by Jeff Buckley (Live at Sin-e) is far far superior in my opinion. It just sounds incredible.

There is a live version of Round Here by the Counting Crows that is like 10 minutes long with this great ad-lib. It's truly beautiful!!!

Im itching to make a snarky comment, but in the intrest of fairness and novelty, why wouldn't you consider them a band, exactly?
