Here's one:
Being an extremely technically skilled musician does not make you a good musician by any means. Songwriting is what it all comes down to. If you can write a good song, and you're technically skilled enough to play that song, you're a good musician, regardless of how easy it may be to play your song. By this rationale, even Kurt Cobain could be considered a good guitarist. And I believe he was. There is no difference between good guitar playing and good songwriting. Unless, of course, you don't write your songs with a guitar. But you know what I mean. ![]()
