The Escape Club was one of the most underrated alternative bands to come out of the UK in the 80's. The silly image kind of obscured the singer's good voice and the band's talent.

Tyler the Creator is an extremely talented rapper and producer. Most all-around talented member of Odd Future. And one great album away from being an icon.

'Three Cheers fpr Sweet Revenge' and 'The Black Parade' by My Chemical Romance and fantastic albums.

Why am I saying this out loud?

Beats me, because that is so very objectively false

Nickelback isn't the worst band out there.

Screamo metal sucks balls.

Creep isn't the best song on Pablo Honey and overall just one of Radiohead's worst songs.

I don't like The Beatles.

Just because you don't like/aren't interested in "obscure" bands that 90% of the rest of the forum is into and stick to what you like and is seen as "safe", doesn't invalidate your musical opinion or indeed taste.

In other words, indie (or whatever you want to call it) cred does not equal musical or intellectual superiority.
