I like some of Springstein's songs but I am not a fan of his voice... the straining (pinching a loaf) sound doesn't do anything for me.

U2 I dig... they've had some pretty bad moments in the 90's (most of Zooropa and all of Pop) but I think as a band they are very unique and will be around for a long time. I used to think Edge was the worst guitar player when I was 16 but now I really appreciate what he brings to the table. He never goes overboard and his guitar work always suits the music perfectly.

You didn't care for "how to dismantle an atomic bomb"? I thought there were some clever tracks on that album.

What's your favorite U2 album?

Joshua Tree. Love that whole album.

Atchung Baby is a close second though.

What else would you recommend for screaming along to in the shower?

you said catchy and sing along

Black Ambient would be a better choice. Or some Cybergrind like Genghis Tron.

As much as I love Genghis Tron (as in I'd say they're one of the best 3 live bands today) I wouldn't call them catchy or shower music. They're more like deep must listen to every detail kind of music. I'd liken them to being the Yes of grind where I'd liken AC to being the Madonna of grind.

Also, Pearl Jam's best release? Riot Act. I Am Mine and 1/2 Full are easily the two best Pearl Jam songs ever.

Edit: Before Madonna decided to make terrible covers and inane songs about food and crapping.

Yeah, I don't really think you should compare Yes to a grindcore band.
