Soft Machine "Facelift"
I dug this, especially around 7 minutes when it started to get really jazzy.
A.D.D. "Trio"
This was cool, it reminded me of that whole Ghosts & Vodka, Piglet mathy post-emo type stuff except with funner noises. I liked the wind instruments.
Faust "The Sad Skinheaded"
This was pretty cool, I didn't really dig the vocals though the guitar was nice.
Birdsongs of the Mesozoic "Coco Boudakian"
This band is sex, I heard the album awhile ago from your blog thing.
Doctor Nerve "Money Where Your Mainz Is"
This was pretty crazy
John Cale "Barracuda"
I think this one's my favorite so far.
Jawbox "Motorist"
Still not as good as Jawbreaker but still hot.
Melvins "A History of Drunks"
This was pretty cool.
Faust "Just a Second (Starts Like That)"
Schlammpeitziger "Pra-Digitaler Volksstuhlhanger"
I kind of spaced out for these two =x
Modest Mouse "Tiny Cities Made of Ashes"
Easily one of the best songs on the Moon and Antarctica.
The Jesus Lizard "Monkey Trick"
I've never heard this band before but they're pretty sick.
Akron; Family "The Rider (Dolphin Song)"
I really liked the vocals on this one.
David Grubbs; Jim O'Rourke; Markus Popp "Bauchredner"
I dug this, I have some Jim O'Rourke stuff lying around I should listen to it.

I'll post my various thoughts on the other half tomorrow. Ethans all thought out.

Yeah the tagging on that last one is kind of off it's Gastr Del Sol which is a really great band (David Grubbs' solo stuff is worth checking out too)

I'm gonna be a little lazy, but here's what I'd do.

Keep in mind that this probably wouldn't be the order of the tracks. I'm one of those mixtape geeks, so coming up with a good order would probably take me a good few minutes.

This is literally just what I would have on there, and is pretty much stuff I'm feeling right now.

1.) Bob Dylan-Cold Irons Bound (Masked and Anonymous version)
2.) Tom Petty-Face in The Crowd
3.) Leonard Cohen-Everybody Knows
4.) Joy Division-Disorder
5.) R.E.M. and Bruce Springsteen-Man on The Moon (live)
6.) Rob Zombie-Dead Girl Superstar
7.) Warren Zevon-Splendid Isolation
8.) Tom Waits-I Don't Wanna Grow Up
9.) Marilyn Manson-Last Day on Earth
10.) Placebo-Special Needs

1. GO WEST - King of Wishful Thinking

A song I listen to every time I come off of a bad relationship. It's about trying to move on and get over someone, yet at the same time wondering if you'll ever truly get over them.

2. SIMPLY RED - Stars

A beautiful love song - a mix of soul and pop/rock. "I want to fall from the stars, and into your arms."

3. THE HUMAN LEAGUE - Human

We're all human, we all make mistakes. Perhaps my favorite Human League track.

4. KELIS - Get Along With You

If you've ever been cheated on, you'll know why I put this song on here.

5. MISSING PERSONS - Destination Unknown

Life can take you in so many different directions. Wherever you're going, there's no way of knowing.

6. MATTHEW WILDER - Break My Stride

No matter what obstacles we face in life, we can't let them knock us down.

7. DEPECHE MODE - People Are People

If everyone is truly good at heart, why do we hate, steal from and kill each other every day?

8. INXS - Never Tear Us Apart

A song about falling into an unconditional love...so sweet.

9. SPANDAU BALLET - Through the Barricades

Spandau Ballet's finest ballad - it brings tears to my eyes. :-)

10. CROWDED HOUSE - Don't Dream It's Over

For some reason this song always gives me nostalgia. The lyrics are cleverly written and render this an 80s classic.

I downloaded that comp...still not got round to hearing it yet.
There's a few bands on it I've been meaning to check out for a while.
