I ran AVG, another free virus thing, but it didn't catch anything. Haven't run CCleaner (which I have), though. Maybe I should try that.

I'm thinking of backing up a lot of my files (music, photos, etc, ones that I really need) and wiping out windows, and just starting over. It's been really shitty ever since I took over it.

ad aware and The home of Spybot-S&D! between them usually find the problem. AVG is probably the virus checker but this sounds like a trojan or ad ware to me.

I decided to take the easy way out and make a shuffle mix...

it doesnt have too obscure of artists and youve probably heard of them all but i think people will still enjoy it
