um i havent had sex in a year, and than i did the other day... im late on my period... can sex prolong your period. please post.

umm how old are you that you don't know that sex doesn't affect your period unless your pregnant? I'm a guy and I know that. If you don;t know that than it seems your too young to be having sex (not that I;m judging or anything I just think its something that should be saved till your at least 17-18)

ok, im 17 years old , and im not a whore, this is only the second guy i have ever been with. and i also know if you miss your period their is a HIGH chance that you might be pregnate. also. i have been with this guy for a whle its not like i just juped in the sack with him. My frined said that sometimes if you have sex your body will prolong your period because of horemones and stuff, i was wondering if this is true. . i would took a pregnacy test, but you have to waite 2 weeks after your missed period.so i dont know if its right or not, and i got mixed results. i took 3 so far. on the same day. the first one -neg the second one-positive the third one - neg. just like that.

and im sorry, but i looked to this message board for help because i had no whare to go....

I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through, but to be honest, you are going to get smart comments when you post what you did. But saying that though, what people said wasnt that bad. No one called you a whore did they. Read back. I'm sorry but it seems that you shouldnt listen to what your friend says and get some proper information instead. What do you mean by sex prolonging your period? That means your period lasts longer. I think you mean that it takes longer than normal to start, right?
So you're not even two weeks late yet then? Thats really nothing to worry about. Some girls periods arent at all regular ever, and even if they usually are, you can be late once in a while. It could be down to lots of things, stress, different diet etc...
Dont worry too much about it yet, but please remember the right thing to do next time. Thats assuming you didnt use contraception... I'm not having a go at you, although you probably think I am, but you are 17, not a kid, so you should know better.

hopefully it works out for you, and what runaway said is completely true. some girls miss theirs althogether some months (not because they've had sex), then just get it again the next month like normal. If you're usually pretty irregular, you might have nothing to worry about. on a side note, this should really be moved to the lounge.
