thats a bold statement sir, are you implying that the arctic monkeys, the white stripes, and arcade fire all suck? i most certainly hope that you are not. i would agree MOST mainstream music sucks however.

When I meant mainstream music I meant the current trend of the day, 98 degrees, Backstreet Boys, followed by Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and then 50 Cent, Chingy etc you get the idea. I mean you get the odd band thats good (like the ones you listed) and maybe even the odd trend but overall mainstream music is pretty trash.

I agree with Crowquill. Popular music in general is horrible, so hearing a horrible band make it big is no surprise.
