Was Britney Spears' Lucky a remix? (ballad, shows, song, Lute)

I swear I heard this song in a cafe sung really oldie style, like Fred Astaire-esque. It was exactly the same song as the Britney song, "Lucky". The chorus rang through in that vocally harmonized, old ballad style from the 40's. As a result, I've always believed that this song was a remake by Britney, but absolutely not information shows up on Google regarding that at all.

Can anyone help? Is there a re-make of the Britney song that is sung in an old-ballad style, or is there any evidence that this song was in fact a re-make?

I don't doubt someone like Richard Cheese remade it but it's an original Britney song.
