You know I had an idea kind of in the opposite direction recently where I do folk covers of Whitehouse songs.

Hell, I'd rate that five stars on iTunes.

It's cool I'll release a cover album and dedicate it to you

I'm ashamed to call myself a part of this forum while I'm the only bastard on here repping the new Zu album. Go listen to it you clit slandering wang wranglers.

LISTEN

NOWLISTEN!

The new Zu record destroys, and now that it's officially released you don't need to be an in the loop hipster like myself to hear it.

So go listen to it.

NOW.

YOU.

CUNTS.

It's pretty much my AOTY at this point. It took a few more listens for me to get as into it than with Carboniferous, but this one really pays off and has a lot of replay value. I think that Zu perfected their sound and smoothed out the rough patches. They sound (quite literally) like a well oiled machine drilling holes into hard earth.

I ****ing love it too, crazy that you mention it because I'm listening to Follow right now. I'd change the ordering of the album a bit because the syncopated orchestral blasts on Follow are by far the best moments of the album, and it happens really early on. The rest of it is great though, it's incredibly unique.

as in having Follow first? or later? I love Follow II as well (not sure I could pick a fav track but that could be it) as it reminds me of the beginning of The Plain of Ida track from Blut aus Nord's Ultima Thulee album which is one of my absolute favorite metal tracks (and albums) ever. it's funny because the whole thing is so overblown and probably in an obnoxious way, but I love it. im usually more of a subtlety kind of guy but the way this manages to use all these bombastic, over-the-top sounds in a non-cheesy way (imo) is outstanding. it's going to be a great year if this somehow manages to squeak out of my top 5.
