Tell that to Richards and Jagger.
I'm sure after 40 years of success they will sit up and take notice.

Where does anyone say in this thread, that the Stones were the greatest band in the world?
The nearest thing I can find was me saying they were the greatest "live" band.
After seeing both the Rolling Stones and The Who live in concert, I'd give the Stones the edge.
And I prefer The Who to the Stones as an overall band.

Lets put this into perspective.
3 bands have been mentioned...The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who.
All giants in their own right and all different to each other in their own unique way.

And apologies to bill for being way off topic. Even though it's made it a better thread.

I was the director of a play back in high school a long time ago and it was entitled: "Music that Induces Severe Suicidal Tendencies." Needless to say, the score was comprised of music mostly from The Beatles.

Damn, thought you would walk right into that one. Fine, maybe your English-interpretation skills aren't that off the mark, but what about your musical taste? I had a look at your Top Album List and I'm quite certain I wouldn't find an appealing album the whole way through it. So my follow up question is: "Was it one big joke?" You know, something like a pun on the word 'top,' which was perhaps supposed to mean 'worst **** in the history of ****?’

Being lectured to by a Dream Theater fan about taste

Oh the indignity of it

So wait a minute...does that mean my Beatles-related post was acceptable??

Man, I just got the sudden urge to never feel like posting anymore...

It's funny how your music is somehow better than mine, yet there isn't a single element of ass-kicking in your music (unless: boring repetitive chord progressions, terrible melodies, predictable beats, childish lyrics, lack of metal, etc, etc count). And in stark contrast...well, I need not continue.
