Low-bottom tier? Meaning what? What other prog bands do you like? I can understand not being into Rush, but not recognizing the sheer musicianship of their music is just crazy.

Isn't the bolded statement true of most prog?

Hated it then and still hate it now (except for Rocket Queen-but I want to hate that too).
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but is that The Stone Roses and Guns n Roses? That's what I get from the IMG when I view your post on a reply page...

The National - Alligator. Yes, it's a good album, but I don't find it great. Aside from 'All The Wine', 'The Geese of Beverley Road' and 'Looking For Astronauts' (which always makes me smile for some reason), I don't feel the songs are amongst The National's strongest (I think Mr November is overrated as well). I have seen it posted on numerous sites that people actually think this album better than High Violet, which I find incredibly hard to understand.

Secret Meeting yo

I agree though, it's a tad better than good.

not really, Gabriel's lyrics in Genesis evoke a sort of whimsical pastoral English setting

they are not a "joke"

You love Radiohead and you think Geddy's vocals suck?

Yorke can't sing himself out of a paper bag.

I guess the paper bag would just continue to expand and wouldn't rip without any physical help. Voice just won't cut it, I suppose.
