I think my favorite cover he's done is These Days (originally by Nico) it's weird how I hate Nico but all my favorite artists seem to cover her. But anyway those weren't singles, surprisingly. He tended to choose stuff like Son of Sam for his singles. I mean it's a good song but compared to like Everything Means Nothing to Me I can't see why he chose that as the single. I guess its catchier though.

98. The Smiths "This Charming Man"
![]() I'm probably going to get some crap for sticking this so low but in my defense I love all these songs on this list to death so even making it on here is an honor and this isn't even the best song on the Smiths debut So yeah!Anyways this song's guitar intro is fantastic on the original however I much prefer the Peels session version and I'm glad I've found that. This is one of the few songs that I've heard slaughtered three or four times and still have been able to listen to the original the same before and after hearing the bad covers. But I think its that way with all Smiths songs for me, especially since good Smiths covers are a dime a dozen.
