i am not seeking envy. i simply see it as their best work and thus the best starting point.

I think, honestly, you can start at any part of their career and enjoy it immensely, merely on the grounds that it's quality, interesting material. Whether it be the classicism of the Bends, the unformed wandering of Pablo Honey, or the ice sculpted artiness of Kid A... it's all made with honesty, passion, and above all, it' top notch quality music. So I say start anywhere and you'll be getting damn good album!

I been listenin to Amnesiac quite a bit lately so no It's difficult for me to say whether it or Kid A be my faverit. I've been havin trouble getting into Hail to the Thief and Pablo Honey, so before i make my ever important decision, i will listen to those guys.

Thom Yorke Starts New Band With Flea From Red Hot Chili Peppers

The steady flow of recent Thom Yorke news continues with an exciting new development. Yorke has posted on Radiohead's blog that he has started a new band to perform his solo material. The band (pictured above) consists of himself, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Beck/R.E.M. drummer Joey Waronker, percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Mauro Refosco, and... Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea. Yes, Flea.

Two shows have been scheduled for the as-yet-unnamed band: October 4 and 5 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. Thom writes, "the set will not be very long cuz ..well ...we haven't got that much material yet!"

The only question is: will Flea keep his shirt on?
Pitchfork: Thom Yorke Starts New Band With Flea From Red Hot Chili Peppers

Thoughts on this?
