and eric, some peeps are saying that the new album is gonna be 'folky'. i dunno though, we'll just have to wait and see.
Good ranking there keith... that's about how I would rate their albums myself... folky new direction, eh? One never knows with Radiohead, always looking forward to hearing what they have done...

I don't hate it, but it's an album that sounds like Kid-A with poorer arrangements. OK Computer, The Bends, Kid A, Hail to the thief and In Rainbows are all stronger albums.

I don't get how people do the whole "Second Least-Favorite Radiohead Album >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pablo Honey" as if Pablo Honey is some slight against God, especially when it's The Bends... There really isn't that crazy of a jump in quality between The Bends and Pablo Honey. It's not an absolutely treacherous record.

Kid A > Amnesiac > HTTF > OKC > In Rainbows > The Bends > Pablo Honey

It's not some slight against God, but it's by far their worst record.

'By far', though? Hardly. The Bends is nearly equally as derivative, aside from maybe 4-5 songs. I'm not saying any song on The Bends is bad (aside from "The Bends" & "Bones"), but it's not spectacular when compared to Pablo Honey. Hence why this whole ">>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>> Pablo Honey" thing makes no sense.

The Bends is their third best, just because it as a less complex sound and is in the same vein as Pablo Honey doesn't mean the standard of songwriting is as poor as it is on Pablo Honey. I think Amnesiac and Pablo Honey are on par as their worst album, with Pablo Honey just lagging behind.

Amnesiac has my favourite Radiohead song, The Pyramid Song.

No Radiohead album is by many means complex, but quite a few are in fact derivative. Their first three, for instance. I mean, barely ever on OKC, granted, but the first two, were in fact very much so. The songwriting is barely more established or expansive on The Bends. Even the best moments on it are comparable to Pablo Honey sometimes, and I don't mean that in a condescending light, it's merely fact.

Pablo Honey simply isn't horrible enough to warrant such mass glaring in comparison to the others. Some Radiohead releases simply aren't much better.

Also, you say Amnesiac and Pablo Honey are 'on par' for their worst with Pablo lagging just behind, yet you also said " it's by far their worst record". Which is it? By far or just slightly?
