I really like In Rainbows for what it is. There are some fantastic songs on it, but I think i have more of an emotional connection to those that came before it. I remember reading a review once that said with each of their albums, you could tell who they had been listening to. With In Rainbows, you could tell that they had been listening to themselves. That's essentially what In Rainbows is, to a great extent: Pure, Distilled Radiohead.

I like In Rainbows a lot, but, aside from Reckoner, Nude, and maybe 15 Step, it hasn't gotten under my skin in the way other Radiohead albums have.

In Rainbows has a great blend, IMO. It has energetic and fun tracks, like Bangers, quiet stuff, like Reckoner, and tracks that mix the two very well, like House of Cards.

It's generally a very pleasant listen, from start to finish, and it's probably my favourite album so far.

well I can agree with that though House Of Cards is about my favorite chill out song, its the top played song on my ipod

and bodysnatches is a favorite song of mine to rock out to though I agree that those songs are probobly the ones that will invoke emotion more than any others on that album while especially Kid-A and Hail to the Thief didn't give you any sort of break from the drama of it all

though I will say that I think thats why i love The Bends and In Rainbows because I can listen to the albums and have moments of a pensive, contemplative mood, and right after be brought back up by something like "Black Star" or "Jigsaw Falling Into Place" and I'm not speaking in song subject matter cause you can't find a happy radiohead song on most of their albums, but just in how its played

also sorry I didn't read META's post cause I basically restated it lol

I'm a big fan of IR too, it's probably my second favourite album after Kid A, as a whole album more than just songs that I like. I like them all anyway, though I don't listen to Pablo Honey very often.

What do you think about HTTT? I've got friends who say it's not a good album, they were a bit dissapointed about it, after hearing Kid A and Amnesiac they were waiting for something like those two... But personally I love it. There there is one of my favourite songs ever, and live it's just incredible.

see it was the last radiohead album that I really got into (meaning like a couple months ago) and I didn't till I heard Myxamatosis on the From The Basement live show and fell in love with it

since then its become a constant fixture on my ipod

IR is probably my favorite Radiohead album, but the fact that it was also my first Radiohead Album might be saying something.

I'm not understanding the lack of love for HTTT.
