Yeah, in fact most of these second wave post-punk bands sound like a hi-fi version of Joy Division without the talent. It could be the most unoriginal musical movement ever seeing as none of these bands are even as good as Wire, Magazine or Joy Division or any of them.

You missed the part where I said "your opinion". Sex Pistols were more influential and I think they were piss poor. Whitney Houston is influential...etc. As for most innovative, I don't hear it. I know people say it but none of the bands I like sound no where near Joy Division.
