Default Best Artist: Round 1: Poll 35

Okay you pick your favorite artists on here and then the top two winners go onto the next round and we repeat the process. Each poll is open for two days.

I vote for The Magnetic Fields.

Crowquill is cool. Sorta. I hate the Fall Of Troy. And Joy Division. And West Side Story.

i gotta say i'm digging the variety in these polls. it's freaking all over the place. having to consider tortoise vs. motorhead seems unnatural. i went with tortoise though, i'd never seen a band put 2 drum kits front and center on a stage before them. they're freaking nuts.

Don't think I've heard the Eels and Magneti Field.

But out of these, The Cure.

You've probably unknowingly heard both. Eels did "My Beloved Monster" in Shrek and The Magnetic Fields (as well as other Stephin Merritt projects) were on Pete and Pete alot.

Also...I think there are at least 10 movies with eels songs in them. Listen to their first 2 albums. pure Gold. The Movie Pieces Of April has a lot of Magnetic Fields/Stephen Merritt songs in it.

I know. I wasn't going to confuse him by mentioning the 6ths.
