I listen to music about 1.5 hours a day and as much as 4 on weekends and I still have plenty of music on my Itunes I have never listened to, records that have only left the package once, and cds that are lost somewhere in the nether regions of the closet universe/floor.
Bolleaux. I listen to far far more than 30 GB of my music collection. And who says you have to listen to your entire music collection every day? But it is true that a lot of music fanatics don't have lives (i.e. me). But you can have a life and still get a lot of music listening done if you can multi-task.

Well what else am I supposed to do for the 45 hours a week i'm at work.

I put 60 gig worth of music on my Ipod. 3 months later I changed it all because i'd got bored of it.

Besides why would I want to listen to the same song over & over again when I can listen to something else.

That would take years alone.

Nice collection though.
It's not always about the music you like. To me it is about getting all the music that deserves to be remembered. I have tons of tunes in my collection that I will never listen to but know maybe others will. I listen to music all day while I am searching TPB and other trackers. I never thought I would collect this much music but finding uploaders with such great tastes made me realize there is a lot of music that is great (even if I don't think it is).

600 gigs and counting Azureus never turned off.

I agree with Seltzer, I've been collecting music since 1974 and have amassed a huge library of all kinds of music. And I always have something playing in the background when I'm on my PC or doing routine stuff around the mansion. And now like Ashtray I've been pillaging the torrent universe for the last 2 months, and have acquired so much new material I'm staggered when I'm indexing sorting etc...and I always upload more than I take to keep the music flowing freely. Probably about 800 CD's, 350 Vinyl albums, 50 Cassettes, just keeping track of it all is a major pain in the ass, but I just can't bring myself to part with any of my collection.

i guess I clearly need to get a new job as well!!!

that being said, its hard to tell how much music I have because I have over 1,000 cds, probably about 150 vinyl, but I have no clue how many cd's I have that are also on my computer, not including the downloads. But I have plenty to listen to. I guess that is what matters.
