@Luke

Amazon.com: The Motown Story, Vol. 1: The Sixties: Various Artists: Music

There it is on CD ^

You could splash out on the original 1970 vinyl boxset, but you won't find a better Motown collection than this...it's all you need.

Hi guys,
can you recommend me good singers/guitarists that sound like John Mayer or Jason Mraz?
Looking for laid back, easy strumming types, with a touch of jazz here and there.

Or maybe something like Johnathan Rice or Tyler Hilton.
Thanks in advance!

Get Bryter Layter by Nick Drake and if you like Johnathan Rice check out some Bright Eyes. You'd probably like Elliott Smith too.

Default New Music

Hey everyone. I'm into

Kid Koala
Ween
Tom Waits
Dave Brubeck
Captain Beefheart (not trout mask replica)
The Eagles
Labi Siffre
Leo Kottke
Wes Montgomery
The White Stripes

If anyone has any suggestions for something that I might like, or a band that's similar to any of these I would appreciate it.

Thanks

My god that is fairly eclectic!

Frank Zappa (Captain Beefheart)
The Stooges (The White Stripes)
Fela Kuti (Labi Siffre)
The Eagles (Bruce Springsteen/ Neil Young)

1) HELMET - "Meantime"
2) FAITH NO MORE - "Angle Dust"
3) FEAR FACTORY - "Soul of a New Machine"
4) FUDGE TUNNEL - "Hate Songs in E Minor"

thats about as close as I can go without recommending you some utter crap.
Minutes to Midnight was a complete change of direction for them. I dont even think it qualifies as nu-metal anymore. You should take a listen to songs like "Little Things Give you Away" or "Leave Out All The Rest". SOAD is a completely different type of music.
