Metal Machine Music is probably the hardest album to get into, for me.

Either it's an elaborate joke, or it's like Ulysses by Joyce...a purely academic endeavour, an achievement to understand rather than an entertainment to be enjoyed.

Bjork has her accessible moments (Post, Homogenic) but her last 2 were pretty difficult i'd say.

I sat through MMM but have nothing to show for it. I didn't find it that hard to listen to either, just really dull. I still find it more musically interesting than anything Eminem has ever released though.
