lol @ people not knowing the meanings of their own thread titles.
I agree with the post above me anyway. Sure, good album and all, very original, but I could never completely get into it so it always seemed a little overblown to me. One of my favourite album covers ever though.

Operation Mindcrime was awesome IMO. I still have my vinyl copy that I purchased when it was first released in 1988. I thought it was an excellent concept album and showed their growth as a band. I'm still a big fan of Rage For Order but Mindcrime is definitely up there as one of my favorite albums. Too bad they couldn't hold on to the magic. The songwriting got very weak, especially after Chris DeGarmo split and Geoff Tate just doesn't have it anymore.
