Any other collectors out there?

Today I got the following six LP's for $10

The Doobie Brothers - Farewell Tour
Alan Parson's Project - I Robot
The O-Jays - Back Stabbers
The Who - Happy Jack
Dr. Hook - A Little bit More

Anybody else get anything anytime lately?

Nice JayJamJah! I have a few boxes stored away with albums I have inherited from numerous people. I think I am the only person among my friends and family who still owns a turntable. I admit I haven't listened to them lately but my collection includes music from the likes of Dean Martin and Elvis to disco and metal bands. I purchased the metal albums when I was younger but the other stuff was given to me. I think alot of them have scratches though. I haven't really thought about my records in a while, perhaps I should dust off my old stereo and give them a listen. Props on Dr. Hook. I love Dr. Hook. I even have them on 8 track!

I'm not a collector myself but some of my friends are. Maybe when I'm not so broke. Anyway, I heard some Black Keys on vinyl and it sounds great.

Michael Jackson- Dirty Diana-12 " maxi ps
Morrissey-Thats Entertainment-12" uk ps

Well, my dad has pretty much all of Bob Dylan's records up to the 80's.

I, myself picked up some records at this thing called "Fun Fair" at my school, for one ticket apiece (tickets are 25 cents). I got a Loverboy album, and a Stray Cats album. Too bad we don't have a record player.

I grew up with CDs (just at the tail end of vinyl and cassettes being the main form of music), but I have to admit record albums are always very alluring and tempting, mostly for the huge, beautiful album art. CDs seem a bit cheap by comparison, as physical artifacts.

But the idea of building a whole new music collection in vinyl is pretty daunting. If I became inordinately wealthy, I think buying music on vinyl would become a top priority.

Sorry, just thought I'd share my longings and fears and desires for the future.
