But seriously. The way newcomers drop by and vote, the turnouts for these are pretty unpredictable. It's a good thing we're not just letting anyone nominate an artist, because Say Anything would probably make it into the hall of fame with ease.

So how many votes is enough again? And are we sure it's enough? The reason all the other artists have got in so quickly is because we considered 20 something the official number and EVERYBODY with as much as 12 posts ends up voting, and so an induction is made before a lot of the regulars even voted, and I consider their opinions more valuable.

Here we go. Booboo fella I admire your grim determination but it's a no from me. I would actually be secretly pleased if one of my noms never made it. That would mean that I was different and don't follow a crowd. Don't take it personally.

I said no to Led Zep and Elliott Smith too.

thats why i agree with JJJ i think that for the inductions everyone can vote vote but for further nomination only people with a certain amount posts can vote...he said something like 500 posts but i think a minimum somewhere between 100-250 would be fine

Booboo I agree with your concern on the principal but I'm not so sure if it'll do anything for your cause.

Yes votes with under 100 posts
candyquasar
clamz
eggyhendrix
Uberfilmbuff(has 99)

10 total minus these 4 equals 6

No votes with under 100 posts
Brad Stengel
insinkerator
The Monkey(has 89)

15 total minus these three equals 12

So the "real" tally is 6 to 12 giving Yes 33% and No 66%.

Each nominee is up for week as dictated when the Hall of Fame started. It's been pretty consistent, 28 or 29 total votes every time. This just may not be the time for them, let more people on here get to know them via your posts, reviews and nominate them again in a few months or whatever. Assuming they don't by now. I am leaning towards an affirmative vote but still reserving judgment for now.

Exactly why I'm abstaining from this one...and the fact that I haven't listened to their entire discography yet.

But please, boo, STOP. I hate to see you act like this.

No 500 is a lot more reasonable.

It dosen't take long for a guy to get 100 posts, theres a lot of guys who get that far and stops posting, if you make it to at least 500 you're probably gonna stick around.

I think 500 is the point when you can be considered a regular.

But we have more no votes from regulars so it dosen't even matter anymore.

I have a special feeling that whoever the next nominee is will win, and it will be someone I dispise, so thats all the more reason not to take this so seriously. The more ya'll hipsters infuriate me the more thankful I should be for being different.

And I think it's the fact that people are so different here that draws me in, I barely post on progarchives forum, even though there Yes are worshiped like the gods they are, and thats no fun. I need an excuse to bicker.

Oh yee of little faith

I'm not sure how i'm going to vote for Yes, had a spin of Fragile and it's the sort of album i can't gauge whether i really enjoy or not. If i get the time this week, another album to try?
