I might be into SOAD more if Serj's dad fronted them, he's great. Serj is just too...practiced? Ingenuine? The right way to word it isn't coming to me right now, but it really comes out in the part where he takes the lead.

I thought I was done with ICP but now I'm in some of the ol' school **** and not about to give it up anytime soon. I seriously don't know why I connect with this **** so hard while also knowing how ridiculous it is. They just have a delivery and an atmosphere that just captures me.

And so this is somehow brilliant to me.

It's because it's so incredibly entertaining. This is kind of weird way to put it and I think you would have to be a fan to get what I mean but listening to ICP is more like a VISUAL experience than any other band I've ever heard. I don't just mean storytelling imagery either.
