Default What do you want to hear???

When you see someone with an acoustic guitar, what do you want to hear?

I'm putting together a big tab binder of good solid covers. I'm shooting for a hundred songs or so, because I will need some slower softer ones for a few venues and faster fun ones for the bars and out on the street.

Goals:
-songs the audience has heard before.. My music takes up all the obscurity I can afford.
-even better, songs the audience can sing or dance to
-songs that go across age groups
-songs that can sound decent with the bare essentials. Guitar, drums, bass, vocals.

Suggestions?

How about some Nick Cave or Leonard Cohen?

I like to hear "chill" music, for lack of a better term... something you would hear in a coffeehouse.

How about some Michael Hedges styled finger-picking/Slapping covers...that should set the crowd on fire . I wouldn't be bothered on what you cover as it's bound to be interesting.
