I love the song “About us” (《关于我们》). “About us” is a song composed by a Chinese singer named BiBi Zhou. She came to our sights by taking part in the TV show “Super Girl” competition held by the Hu Nan TV station in 2005 and won the second prize grades in the competition in August. In September of the same year, she released a single album named “The Note”(《笔记》). To our utter surprise, the song gained greater popular than expected. Even someone who is not a fan of BiBi Zhou is now listening the song. She also acquired many prizes like “Best Worldwide Act” at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards, and her song “I miss U missing me” was cover version by British singer Leona Lewis.

“About us” is new song to commemorate her ten years` debut, and marks these ten years. In these year, she experienced a termination of a storm, she left her first company and did not have any activity during that time, took a refresher music course in America, and participated in writing and singing the song of the Olympic Games. No matter how good or bad she is, the fans who like her always support her, like the lyric says “for the first time and next, we are applauded and questioned, over and over. About us, there should be a song to witness”. Therefore, this song is also for her fans, and to appreciate her fans for having been supporting her for so many years. So this song for fans who like Zhou has special significance.

When I know BiBi Zhou is going to compose a song for fans, for these ten years what happened between us, I am looking forward to it. This is one of the most important reason why I love the song. I am a fan who liked BiBi Zhou for ten years. When I listened to the song for the first time, I cried. And I was thinking about what she said “I am 07 player BiBi Zhou.” in the competition, and how excited when I known the information about the album and the concert. There are lots of changes in 10 years, but what is still the same is that the she is still a singer, I am still a fan of her.

What`s more, this song describes youth. Everyone did many crazy things when they were young. People may possibly do something stupid, or maybe something influenced him or her a whole life. People grow up quickly in this period. And they gradually know something about love, friendship, family affection, and about trust. Like the lyrics described “seriously loved but painful to embrace. About youth, after the crazy things. About pure trust also about wounds, sincere and survival. Maybe they are just inflections of us”, “About us” is reflection of youth. Everyone does crazy things in the youth, and in everyone`s mind, the memory about youth is beautiful and hard to forget.

I think this song is sweet because of the beautiful melody, the lyric has special meaning, and the unique voice of BiBi Zhou. When I first heard the voice of Zhou, I was falling in love with it. Hers sounds like the savoury and mellow coffee to make people deep in it. Although it is only my personal opinion, but I just like it. I think the song is not easy to singing, but it is worthy to know how to sing and what the song tries to tell us.
