how do you convert an mpeg audio media file to an .mp3 so i can burn them on cds?

You'll need to get hold of some conversion software like this:

Have never used it myself so can't vouch for whether it's any good or not

get sonicfoundry soundforge i think version 7.0 is the latest, will change anything into anything my friend. Piece of piss to use as well.
