Default How Do You Get Your Music?

What the title says. I'm really curious to see how different members of the site obtain their music.

Do you search blogs? Are you a torrent pro? Are you a usenet user? Do you prefer to buy all or most of your albums? Are you a member of the scene?

Me personally, I probably obtain the majority of my music through torrenting and the searching blogs.

Torrenting seems to work a lot quicker for me, and you can download entire discographies pretty easily.

Other than that i pop into record shops.

And since I DJ at my school I get to rip a ton of CDs from the studio.

MP3's I get from blogs/Internet friends, but all the random vinyl I have I've obtained by being part of the skramz scene I guess. Friends or bands that are friendly usually have hooked me up with their stuff or duplicates of rare/out-of-print stuff.

Limewire, it's fast and easy. I only buy albums that I actually like.

Amazon/half.com/wherehouse.com/ebay.com
Local record shops
Various Internet methods including blogs but mostly a certain P2P. Torrent only when I can't find something elsewhere (don't like sharing and worrying about a ratio).

I don't use blogs/ rapidshare etc often, becasue I'm very picky on the bitrates, I prefer only mp3s with 320 or flac. So, for me, torrents is far easier.

I mostly stopped using blogs also because of the usually unknown bitrate. You can guestimate based on overall file size, but still...I'd rather know for sure before I download it.
