Im pretty sure your sorces are invalid, Jack made it clear that he wanted to keep Meg in the band, and there would be no new members because it would drain the band of its simplicity.

Jack said he couldn't picture anyone else in the band. If the group was to ever break up it would more than likly become Jack White ins the same way Neil Young or Bob Dylan or Tom Waits are.
