What typo? I genuinely agree with your statement:

I didn't bring up The Shaggs because it sounds just like White Stripes. I wasn't going for the sound as "genre" or type of music they play, but how they execute the song, it was comparison more on the side of technical ability. Jack explain a few reasons for The White Stripes style it was to hide the fact Meg wasn't a strong drummer, Son House, and he like that off the cuff playing like they just learn the song and were playing it live for the first time. The White Strips were dilerberately trying to sound unaccomplished where that just came naturally to The Shaggs.

I'm surprised at the low number Icky Thump got. I thought it was brilliant, especially the first two songs. It's compelling, and odd, and I just really enjoyed it.

I still think De Stijl is their best.

Probably, but Icky Thump falls close behind it (for me), and it was definitely a good comeback after Get Behind Me Satan (which I think was their worst album).

^^ Dang, that was excellent! Also agree the Alex Jones cover was annoying, mostly because I don't enjoy listening to angry, hateful people in any context for more than 5 seconds.
