Default What genre do you hate the most?

For me the genre that I hate the most has to be country & heavy metal. I hate them both with a passion. I hate country for the twang and heavy metal for the fact you don't know what the hell their saying.

I don't get why people hate country music so much. It has always puzzled me just why it gets quite so much flak as it does.

Well from what I hear, the twang annoys everyone, but not many people realize not all country has that twangy sound, they generalize that it's the whole genre when it's not true at all.

If you listen to metal you can understand what they are saying. There is a small amount of brutal death that I have a hard time understanding. Other than that I can understand almost all of it.

My problem with country music only lies with post 1990 country. This pop music that is trying to pass for country just doesn't fly in my book. They exploited a good genre of music with this steamy turd that they want to call country.
The past flak that country has gotten seems to come from the fact that it was mainly based from gospel. Later on, when you look at country from the 60's through the 80's, the themes were not something that popular society understood or could relate to. Thats why country remained on the fringes of popular music and made a few crossovers.

It used to irritate me that I couldn't understand the words, until I realized that the voice was just an instrument. I can't understand what a violin is saying, but I still like classical. Cheesy I know.

I can't stand redone 'classic rock'...like velvet revolver...

I hate most "post-grunge", or "modern hard rock" like Seether, Buckcherry, Three Days Grace, Nickelback, Staind, Trapt, and Hinder. They're like overproduced, poppy Pearl Jam with sh!tty, repetetive lyrics, and songs that are constantly played on rock radio. I don't mind a couple of bands in the genre though, such as Foo Fighters, Bush, and Audioslave.

Yeah from alot of people that are well into the Grunge sound despise those bands, and it's understandable. Nickleback and TDG are a disgrace. Buckcherry and Trapt I don't reall consider post grunge, I guess Buckcherry could be a modern glam rock band?
If you like those bands, SIlverchair is considered a post grunge band, but they released their first album in 1995 so idk how they fir in....Maybe it's because of the New Modern album...Anyway check them out
