I downloaded a song by Dethlok once,,,listened to it for about one minute and quickly deleted it. Since then I have checked out a few other Black and Death metal bands but the same thing,,,after a minute or so I just give up. Some of the music is at least a little interesting but the "Cookie Monster" growling just does not work for me anyway.

Techno. And by techno, I do not mean all electronic music.

And anything that consists of someone screaming the entire song. I don't care what the instrumentals are like, or what the lyrics are saying, I just can't get past the constant screaming.

Well apparently it's not all called "screamo". I know this because I made the mistake of lumping all this type of music into the "screamo" genre one time, and Ethan let me have it.

you're mad JamJah, 'warm leatherette' is a post-punk classic!

for me one of the few unredeemably bad is errrm.. white rasta reggae. white rasta. it's an oxymoron. these people have no clue. someone should purge all the tribes, lets all shave our heads.

you can't help but think that emo is just setting a ****ing low, low standard for alot of kids today aswell. 16 should be the cut-off age for that **** IMO.

The worst type of music is not any particular genre, but music that is totally generic, formulaic and artistically without any merit at all. Unless it is comedy, in which case it could be funny.

I actually don't mind country. It's usually slow and soothing.

I don't like new age rap. Some of Tupac (spelling?) wasn't that bad. Rap is one letter away from crap, one letter away from rape, and 4 letters from good.

Metal I can listen to...but very, very, picky. A handful of songs by Metallica and some non-death speed metal is alright. Really hate the other metal like In Flames or Slayer.

Techno I just can't listen to. At all.

That song is grating and unlistenable, cheesy lyrics, I don't care if anyone calls it a classic, it's one of the worst songs I've ever heard.

As far as white reggae, yeah it can go bad, like all reggae, but it's certainly not an oxymoron, race has nothing to do with what kind of music appeals to you, The Clash and sublime just to name two have both released excellent reggae tracks.
