For those not in the know, Johnnie Johnson was a legendary pianist and jazz/blues musician. He worked with the likes of Otis Redding, Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones, Bo Diddley, and John Lee Hooker to name a few (he was the inspiration for the song Johnny B. Goode, btw). He's not exactly the most famous guy, but alot of these music legends mentioned above consider him so highly that the Rock n' Roll hall of fame would be nothing without him. A lot of music fanatics appreciate his resistance to ever "selling out".
Someone told me his memorial will be in St Louis, and I assume many of music's biggest names will be in attendance.
