I've never heard that Cat Stevens song...anyone care to chime in? Are his accusations justified?

Oh, there's a link in the article.

eh, i feel like they aren't as justified as satriani's but this is kinda getting ridiculous.

Coldplay is probably one of my least favorite bands around. I would rather go to the DMV than listen to Coldplay.

God damned, everybody is talking about the fact that they hate Coldplay..
I don't get the point.. Is this a new way to be cool, by saying you hate
Coldplay?

The first accusation came from the band Creaky Boards, an unsigned band in New York City who claimed that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin attended one of their shows in 2007, heard their song "The Songs I Didn’t Write," and subsequently used the melody to write "Viva La Vida." Coldplay denied stealing the song and even proved that they had "Viva La Vida" written and demoed months before the Creaky Boards show which Martin allegedly attended (the band’s spokesperson proved this to be false as well).

Hang on Isn't Cat Stevens now Yusef Islam and he has rejected the material world of capitalism? Isn't he all peace loving and stuff?

I just thought it sounded odd... either that or its not him personally, perhaps his record company?

Curious...
