Justin Timberlake Super Bowl 2018 Halftime Show to Feature Prince Hologram: Report

Thoughts? I usually wouldn't care but the article mentions that he was against the concept.

I was literally just thinking given where it is it's a shame he isn't around any more to perform, maybe he would have if he was still alive.

It's a no from me.

Too soon.

In more positive news, I've recently listened to a bunch of Prince CD's and oh man, this track is fire! PlectrumElectrum was one of his last albums and really, it's becoming one of my favorites.

Didn't end up doing the hologram, but he did feature Prince on the scoreboard as he covered "I Will Die 4 U", which I liked, I mostly liked the tribute where the whole city turned purple and formed the Prince symbol, that was awesome and I thought the whole thing was more appropriate than if he'd done the hologram.

The following is previously unseen rehearsal footage of Prince & The Revolution from the summer of 1984.

It was in this very room at Flying Cloud Drive Warehouse in Eden Prairie, Minnesota that Prince created and committed to tape one of his most beloved and iconic compositions, which six years later would become a worldwide hit for Sinead O’Connor.

Prince’s original studio version of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ is presented here for the first time.

Sorry, I have to say I prefer Sinead's version. In other related news:

Carver County attorney Mark Metz said the recording artist Prince died from an accidental fentanyl overdose after he took counterfeit pills containing the powerful painkiller.

"Prince had no idea he was taking a counterfeit pill that could kill him," Metz said.

There is no evidence showing how he obtained that counterfeit pill, he said. Because of that, there will be no criminal charges filed in the case, he said.

P's version is better come on.

Plus it's the original.

Plus it's been in the vault for decades so it's great that you can buy it now.

So? Hendrix's version of "All Along the Watchtower" pisses all over the original.
Means nothing.

It doesn't mean nothing. Lots of guys can play a Mozart piece but Mozart had the vision to create that music in the first place.
