Most of the stuff I download I end up buying anyway. For me nothing beats being able to read the CD liners and I want to support the bands so they can continue to not have day jobs. (If the don't have already).

For my band, we are allowing full download of our material at crashbasket.com. we figure everyone should listen to it and share it. That's what music is for right?

The only time I've ever downloaded is when it was unreleased or hard to find material. Other than that - I always go buy.

i did, but it was stuff i had already pruchased over the years and some multiple times. u know old tapes and even some old record albums that all got demagnetized or badly scratched. there were a few that i threw-out because i no longer had a machine to play them on.

i dont think its wrong at all. i mean yeah its techinically illegal but id rather download free albums then go out and buy them and then what if i dont like it if i buy it? i cant return it after its already been used. downloading is just so much better. but thats me. im a rebel

I could not agree more. The whole thing of downloading music for (coughs up quietly "free") is fantastic. Thank you for that I'll have a good look round.
