No, some artists do not have one clear genre. The point of the whole thread was kind of like a game (maybe I should of put it in the games section) where you decide what genre they are and debate about it here. Then once there was a clear decision that most agreed on, I would list another musician.

But like I said, even if there isn't a clear genre, someone could go to Google and find two or three genres that the artist falls under. I'm not saying it's a bad idea for a silly game, but i'm just giving you a reason for why people wouldn't take it seriously. Plus, you started with The Beatles, it'd be better to start with a band that is really confusing.

this is true - the Beatles played around with rock, pop, psych rock, experimental, and blues.
