Default Ryan Adams - Cold roses

i'm just listening to it on mp3.com....it seems like a pretty beautiful piece of mellow music...i haven't heard anything else by him, critics seem to have a hard on for heartbreaker so i might check that one out....he seems worth looking into

I'm just wondering how, just wondering how

Heartbreaker is probably the most focused thing he did. Most of his later stuff is much more varied, he doesn't stick to just making "alt. country" records. Personally I find most of his stuff really good, and if you like the new one then you should find the others most agreeable as well, apart from Rock n Roll, which was crap. Just pisses me off slightly that I've twice had tickets to see him, and twice he's cancelled days before. The sod.

denis leary plugged him on david letterman for no reason other than loving the album, i wanted him to do standup but whatever......

well so far i've heard heartbraker ,gold and cold roses, and i have to say i didn't like neither gold nor heartbraker, but i'm crazy about cold roses....how is that possible, for a man not to write anything special for 5-6 albums and then splurt out a masterpiece like cold roses? there are maybe 1 or 2 special songs on his other albums but cold roses is packed with 18 brilliant tracks ( the only one that's not brilliant is rosebud )....i'm puzzled....
